These Terms of Service govern your use of sharkofoundation.org and the services of the Sharon Sharko Speech and Debate Foundation (3SDF), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (“3SDF,” “we,” “us”). By using our website or our text messaging service, you agree to these terms.
Use of Our Website
The content on this website is provided for general information about 3SDF and its programs. You may view and share it for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to misuse the website, interfere with its operation, or submit false or unlawful information through its forms.
Donations
Donations are processed securely by our payment provider, Stripe. Donations to 3SDF are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. No goods or services are provided in exchange for contributions.
Text Messaging (SMS) Terms
Program description. The 3SDF Tournament Help Line lets students, coaches, and judges text the help line number provided at their tournament to report problems during speech and debate tournaments. Our system may ask follow-up questions to gather the details needed and then forwards your report to tournament staff, who may reply by text.
Consent. You opt in by sending a text message to our help line. We send messages only in response to your report; we do not send marketing or promotional messages. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase or of participating in a tournament.
Message frequency varies based on your report and the follow-up needed.
Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile carrier for details about your plan.
Opt out: reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages. You will receive one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. To start again, text START.
Help: reply HELP for assistance, or contact us through our Contact Us page.
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. The help line is not an emergency service: in an emergency, call 911 or alert tournament staff in person.
If you are under 18, please use the help line only with the permission of a parent, guardian, or your coach.
Privacy. We use your phone number and messages only to respond to your report. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
This website and our services are provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, 3SDF is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the website or our services.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page.
